Scalable processing of granular crystals by high-frequency oscillation

چکیده

High-frequency vibration proves a fundamental step towards scalable growth in colloidal crystals. Various experimentally-replicable mechanisms are hereby devised and exerted on randomly generated silicoid particles to explore geometric dynamic effects the induced crystal at equilibrium state. The Discrete Element Method is employed, with inter-particle contact idealized by linear mass–spring–dashpot system Coulomb sliding friction. With vertical (Z) direction determined gravity, comprise vertical, circular, angular oscillation, latter realized plane normal gravity. Characterization of quantified hybrid machine-learning algorithm developed upon direct correlation between coordinate data, crystallinity grain-surface parameters. Parametric analysis carried out terms parameters (frequency, amplitude duration) square-prismatic box aspect ratio. Results manifest optimum values ratio, frequency, mostly saturating after 2 minutes vibration.

Noise levels produced by high-frequency oscillation

for patients with severe respiratory failure. Although the technology has advanced in recent times, the noise levels produced by such devices remain high. Exposure to excessive noise in intensive care may cause hearing problems for both staff and patients following long-term exposure. We investigated the noise level in decibels produced by a SensorMedics 3100B ventilator (SensorMedics, Bilthove...

High frequency oscillation.

It is more than 15 years since high frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) was first described as a technique of ventilation [ 1 ]. In the intervening period it has passed through a phase of being a physiological curiosity, where it could be demonstrated that normal gas exchange could be maintained using tidal volumes much smaller than deadspace at rates much greater than what was then consid...

High-frequency oscillation in adolescents.

BACKGROUND High-frequency oscillation (HFO) is a widely used lung-protective ventilatory strategy in paediatric and neonatal acute lung injury. Its safe and effective use has been hindered by inadequate recruitment of the lung during oscillation and, until recently, the lack of an adequately powered oscillator for use in adult practice. METHODS We present data from three adolescents with seve...

Effect of oral high frequency oscillation.

Laros et al. state probably on the basis of experience in one patient that oral high frequency oscillation (OHFO) combined with forced expiration manoeuvres on tracheobronchial clearance is disappointing in patients with flaccid lungs. Their letter to the editor suggests that our conclusions, meaning that OHFO combined with forced expiration manoeuvres is inefficient, could not be made because ...

Volume delivery during high frequency oscillation.

AIM To examine the delivered volume during "high volume strategy" high frequency oscillation, used as rescue treatment in preterm infants; and to identify factors, other than frequency and oscillatory amplitude, influencing the magnitude of volume delivery. METHOD Twenty infants (median gestational age 29 weeks) were studied on 45 occasions. Two oscillator types were used (SensorMedics and SL...
